  16.      _G_L_p_a_r_a_m_n_a_m_e is the name of a GL hardware configuration parameter as
  17.      listed in <gl/gl.h>.  The parameter name can be given with or without the
  18.      GD_ prefix, and in upper or lower case.  The returned value is the result
  19.      of interpreting the string as a symbolic constant and passing it to the
  20.      function _g_e_t_g_d_e_s_c() .

  22.      If more than one parameter name is given, a corresponding list of
  23.      parameter values is returned.  If no parameter names are given, a list of
  24.      all known parameter names and corresponding parameter values is returned.
